Some Colour Art...
This gallery's main focus, thus far, is on a cartoon, children's, or animation-style, with animal characters. There will be the occasional "more realistic" piece here and there, until I have enough of them to warrant a separate page.

Two ermines, fit-to-be-tied!  Original Celtic zoomorphic, with a bit of children's illustrative whimsey.

I'm creating a tarot deck, one  in a theme that I haven't seen on the shelves of any New Age store...

The first of four cards I painted for a special event.  Haida and Celtic Birds.

The second of those four.  Horses kickin up their heels near Mount Rainier.

Here's the third, two little boys with whistles.

The final card, The Stacks on Washington's coast.

Developing various childrens' storybook styles... here's a Viking, the smallest of the Vickers flying boat class.  The airmen on this particular ship?  Airdales, of course!

This one's more cartoony.  Beware on your next family picnic,  lest you be attacked from above!

The Green Man... if he were a fox.

"Put more seeds in the feeder?  Please?  They're scaring me..."

A page from the Haida legend, "Raven Steals The Sun".  Watercolor & salt background, acrylic foreground, digital text.

Magpies are beautiful birds.... loud-mouthed, gregarious, opportunistic, yes, just like their cousins the jays, ravens, and crows... but they're STILL beautiful birds.

An elaborate commission  for Michael Russell, creator of Vicki Fox comics.

One good reason to keep your food stowed properly when camping....

Poor pooch!  He needs to be more assertive....

Digital drawing on a Wacom tablet.  This was created for awards for all of our Pack members who attended the Canadian Cuboree, Kubosaurus.

"Salmon Leaping by the Moonlight"; pen and acrylic on parchment paper, heavily influenced by Haida art but not based on any one tribe.

"Raven and the First Men", from Haida legend.  Acrylics and ink on parchment paper.

A logo of sorts for "Santa's Soldier's".  Done for Operation Support Our Troops, an organization devoted to supporting our deployed servicemenbers and their families, as well as enormous care-package efforts, included this Christmas one.

A Tsimshian-style hummingbird, with stylized pink fireweed.  Acrylics and ink on parchment.

"Raven Steals the Sun".  Original Tsimshian-influenced design.  I hope to paint this one on a drum.
